Networks will carry out essential maintenance on the campus network in the new year on Wednesday 7th January 2026, 7-9pm.  
 
This maintenance is taking place out of hours to minimise the impact on staff and students. The works will see an upgrade applied to critical datacentre switches. This upgrade is being applied on advice from Cisco to remediate a memory
leak but on the switches.
 
Impact on services 
Unfortunately this maintenance will result in a network outage to the datacentre and will cause a disruption to services. On campus access to Wi-Fi (Eduroam) and other IT systems, including ITS, DMIS, Agresso, NAS and any other system
hosted in tour datacentre will be impacted during the maintenance window. 
 
The Networks team will issue an email once the maintenance is complete and services are back online.
